FPL GW3 review: Mitchell's double, Gakpo's assists and the haul filter

• Tyrick Mitchell's 15-point double was the loudest haul, but the repeatable bit is the wing-back role rather than a sudden licence to expect two goals every Saturday. HOLD for Ipswich at home; do not build a shrine from one left boot.
• Alexander Isak's 13 points and Cody Gakpo's 11 married full roles to Liverpool's 2-0 win at Ipswich. Both are real GW4 considerations against Fulham, with Gakpo's minutes still the less settled part of the bargain.

Stock down: Foden is a WATCH, not a rage-sell based on one cameo. The issue is not his finishing; it is that a 79.6 expected-minutes call became 24 actual minutes. Kayode's 45 after an 86.6 estimate belongs in the same red notebook. Janelt scored and earned three bonus, but his current GW4 projection is 2.57 against Bournemouth; chasing a central midfielder's single strike is how a transfer becomes a small administrative error. Bogle's goal was welcome, though 60 minutes and Newcastle next mean patience is cheaper than a points-chasing surcharge.

The middle ground is where most FPL squads actually live. Neco Williams produced seven points through a 90-minute clean-sheet route and remains a sound role-led hold, even if Forest's 0-0 was not a festival of attacking ideas. Eddie Nketiah's assist in 45 minutes showed a route opened by Palace absences, but the half-game keeps him in the WATCH lane. This is the point of a review: not to hand every scorer a buy badge, but to say whether the useful part was the chance, the role, the minutes or simply a ball bouncing with suspicious enthusiasm.

It cannot treat Foden as an 80-minute route when the final role becomes a short cameo without taking a proper mark-down. The correction is not to punish every player who blanks. It is to freeze the late availability and selection evidence beside the xPts, then make the article's recommendation live or die with the same timestamp.

The big hauls also need the same discipline. Mitchell's double has a low base rate but his advanced role and Ipswich fixture create a defensible hold.
